I have lived in the central Texas area since the age of four, and I graduated from Georgetown High School in 1999.
I attended Texas A&M University and graduated with a B.A. in English in 2003. After graduation, I taught high school English and Latin in Dripping Springs. I moved to Bastrop in 2006 and began teaching at Smithville Junior High. I became the librarian there in 2007 and completed my Master's of Library Science from the University of North Texas in 2009.
I met my husband, Grant, the summer before we began A&M, and we were married in 2004. Our daughter, Arabella, was born in 2006, and her sister, Emeline, followed in 2009. Our girls keep us busy, but we also enjoy sneaking out for the occasional dinner and movie when the grandparents are available to babysit!
In my spare time (when I can find it), I enjoy baking, watching movies, doing arts and crafts, and (of course) reading. My favorite books include To Kill a Mockingbird, The Time Traveler's Wife, When You Reach Me, The Handmaid's Tale, and many, many others.
